I like short games of OO][ - it helps keep people on a level playing field. It got me wondering what all the freedom fighters around here think is the sweet spot for short games.

30 to 45 minutes, but if it can be done, cut down on the time it takes to tele-port between bases. The animation(if you can call it that) takes forever, and I doubt the game needs all that time to handle the transition.

30 to 45 minutes here, too.  There's an certain amount of pressure and nervousness when the time limit is shorter.  The grip on my Xaverus gets a little slippery.

The little animation while using the telepods is to slow down the overall process of traveling.  Zipping between different Bases would be waaaay too fast without it (although I understand the desire).  There's nothing glorious about the animation (it's ANSI, after all); it's just meant to heighten the tension and slow the players down.

Teleportation speed differs from BBS to BBS.  On a slow stuttery system porting between bases can almost be painful. On a fast system Its actually cool watching the purty colors flash by }:)
