Well, I've reached the bank deposit max of 1000000.

Do others feel this is too low?

I suppose that is what bases are for, but just threw this out there for discussion.

We've run into this sort of discussion a few times now, but without ever fully discussing it.

I think the larger isssue is: Do we want to spend time make small changes to the game which keep it from being OOII?  Or would it be better to make a new version of the game and leave the old one as-is.

The current plan is to only change things that are obvious flaws and to continue the 1.10 fixes.  (Changes in1.10 were largely to help new players learn the game.)

Also, 1 million is nowhere near the limit of the number used to store the amount of crystals you have.  So the limit was chosen for gameplay reasons.

Definately make it be OOII.  Perhaps once bases get implemented this number won't seem so low...

Well, except for those little flaws that make OOII, OOII right?   Still this is a features subforum, so I'll add on a little bit:

What are you doing with all that money?!  'bout the only thing you can do is set wealth records or get upgrades in AFB...so unless future versions incorporate more reasons for you to have/spend money, I don't see any reason to increase this amount.

*If* the bank deposit limit were increased, I would think interest rates would have to be adjusted.  Currently with $800,000 in the bank, overnight you get 50,000.  It would be sad to see someone with 8,000,000 earning 500,000 a day on interest alone....(although it'd probably be more then that)

Yeah, I think ultimately in the completed game bases become the replacement for the bank.  Plus the bank isn't insured, so if Hydrites come and gank all your savings you'll be screwed!

Hmm, I wonder why Hydrites never bother to attack Wasteland bases ...

Well, according to the faq, they do:

---
They will also start to attack the security on random bases in the wastelands.
---

I don't know how much damage a base cannon does, so who knows if it'd actually kill a hydrite if he tried....(if it did, I wonder if it'd leave his stuff there for me to find?!)

hydrites attacked two bases in one night just recently in OOII novice.  they only did about twenty percent shield damage against the zaxtron accelerator, and left nothing behind to show thier passing.[/quote]

I've never experienced this on one of my bases, and never seen it in the frontier long. Is this a fairly rare experience?
